LETTER TO SANTA

Dear Santa,

Our Christmas wishes are:

- Art supplies

- A new soccer ball to play soccer in our studios. We suspect some undergrads stole  the one we had

- A Master's Degree in Fine Arts (or something similar)

- This:

Love,

A new work today in graduate critique from Philly's own Sarah Coote

VCU Painting and Printmaking stands in solidarity against the growing wave of fascism that is painfully reemerging in the USA.

This week has put some perspective into my studio practice and reminded me why I make the type of work I do. I look forward to using my agency as a maker, as an activist and as a student in a MFA program to expand my voice and the voice of others. I will always fight for a safer and more inclusive spaces that resists racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and all other isms that foster hate and death.
-Brett Suemnicht

VCU Painting and Printmaking will try to foster inclusion and safety for all who shares our space.
